a&d is always open on Mondays.
Why?
We (Daisy and Marissa) each spent 20 plus years in the restaurant industry. Between the two of us we have poured champagne, flipped eggs, pulled shots and steamed creamy foam for your lattes, bar tended late into the night, arose at inhumane early hours to get breakfast ready, cleaned the nastiest of hood fans, polished crystal wine glasses and so much more.
Always, we relished Mondays.
Restaurants are often closed, have limited service hours or are slow on Mondays. If they are open at all, only a skeleton crew is scheduled in order to save on labor.
Monday is a special day for restaurant folk.
Monday is the day to dress like yourself (no worry of coffee/mayo/wine stains), get those critical errands done (the DMV, bank, etc), go out to lunch (let someone else serve you), go to a matinee and SHOP!
So many, many times in our lives Mondays were our "shop day"... We know just how disappointing it is to make a special trip somewhere to be rewarded with a locked door and a "Closed Mondays" sign.
We don't want to disappoint.
