Oh grey skies...
This is my favorite time of the year, drizzle and all.
After all, this is when all of the warm and fuzzy layers come out and cover Portland. And that doesn't mean you have to be a lumpy bundle! We aim to keep you cozy and stylish.
Here's a start:
American Vintage:
This (ironically named) French label has the
most amazing not so basic basics. We even got D. to model for us!
The navy V-neck.
Just long enough to give you a little bit of a tunic feel without a ton of extra bulk around your hips.
And just a touch of cashmere makes it oh so soft.
love!
And now I have to interject the music portion of this broadcast.
I know the Smiths weren't for everyone, but for us...
So I might have screamed a little inappropriately when I saw Radiohead covering this;
Several fantasies came true at once.
Back to your regularly scheduled programming.
Yummy chestnut brown V-neck sweater.
Nice and thin for layering, slim fit without being tight.
Long jersey dress, sexy and simple
Makes me think of Martha Graham,
(wish this was a video of Martha dancing, but this google doodle is so great)
They just make the best, most drapeyliscious pieces(I know, I know, but it's fun to make up words).
Check out the lovely Holly:
Light cocoa V-neck, perfect for layering with
Groceries' Cami, available at abrahams&duffy!
Super luscious light grey Cowl
Split side seam, dolman sleeves.
Local favorites
Bridge&Burn continue to work their magic.
The Whatley is such a great basic/not so basic.
The light red is a great spot of color among all the Fall neutrals,
and has all of the little details we love about Bridge&Burn
The little tab at the top of the button placket!
The slight curve at the side seams!
The pleats on the back!
Just at skinny jeans and boots!
We love photo shoots (see behind the scenes photo below), and if you come into the store, there is always the chance D or M will beg you to let us photo you for the blog. You could be famous!
More to come! The season is far far from done, and we can't wait to show you what's in store (pun intended!)
xo,
